Maintenance and protection of marble are principally done to safeguard and preserve the quality of your marble tile, as well as ensure ease of cleaning.  The method for cleaning will depend on the type of surface finishing your marble has.  The appropriate method should be chosen between these two:  Washing with a dap cloth using water and/or neutral detergents with pH of 6.8-7.2, and washing with a dilute wax solution.  Never use abrasive or acidic cleaning products in cleaning your marble tiles.
